All Humanity Faces Judgment
Scripture:
All humanity will stand before the judgement seat of God.
- “And just as it is appointed for mortals to die once, and after that comes the judgment, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him." Hebrews 9:27-28
- “Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” John 5:28–29
- "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." 2 Corinthians 5:10
- “because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free. And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.” Ephesians 6:8-9
- “Indeed, when gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them. This will take place when God judges people's secrets through Jesus Christ as my gospel declares.” Romans 2:14-16
Ellen G. White:
Slaves who are ignorant of God will not be saved nor will they face the day of judgment. They will simply disappear. Ellen's perspectives regarding the "ignorant slave" are more of a reflection of opinion during her time rather than what scripture states. This does not appear to be a God-inspired truth.
- “God cannot take to heaven the slave who has been kept in ignorance and degradation, knowing nothing of God or the bible, learning nothing but his master’s lash, and holding a lower position than the brutes, but He does the best thing for him that a compassionate God can do. He permits him to be as though he had never been.” Ellen G. White Early Writings, p. 276
